Africa Fashion Week Brasil is part of the circuit of African Fashion Week London and African Fashion Week Nigeria founded by Queen Ronke in 2011 and is in its 13th edition.

Fashion has been the platform to show where Africa design and its diversity has stood out in the Africa diaspora, in response to a repressed demand from this part of society that seeks an identity with its lifestyle in synergy with its ancestry.

Africa Fashion Week (AFW) was conceived by Queen Ronke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi (great granddaughter of the late Ooni Ajagun Ademiluyi, the King of the Kingdom of Ife, now located in Osun State, Nigeria) in 2011 in London and in 2014 won the Nigeria edition. today, adding 12 years of history, AFW is one of the most important events in fashion from the UK and West Central Africa. In 2018, he signed with FEAFRO International Institute the transfer of know-how and technology for realization in Brazil.

AFW arrives in Brazil through businesswoman Silvana Saraiva, who holds the patent for holding the event in the country and has been working for 17 years in the bilateral promotion between Brazil and Africa carrying out the FEAFRO INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS FAIR and in the presidency of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil Africa Cedeao FEAFRO. With its know-how in FEAFRO will bring delegations of buyers to the event coming mainly from African countries with an interest in several products from the fashion sector, such as: apparel, accessories, footwear, beauty products, decoration, etc.

Born in Salvador, Carlos José de Santana Cruz, 27 years old, model, entrepreneur and digital influencer, better known as O Rei da Favela, a name adopted to honor his grandfather, is one of the inspirations for young black people, especially in Salvador. His life story is something motivating, making other young people believe in their potential, that black people can go where they want and make all their dreams come true Besides being a Model, Influencer and Businessman, Carlos has been standing out lately as a casting director and has already produced some photographic projects and fashion shows, some of them in the biggest fashion week in Brazil (São Paulo Fashion Week) and Casa de Criadores.

Rodrigo Braga is CFO of the Brazil Africa CEDEAO FEAFRO Chamber of Commerce. known as Ecowas Brazil Chamber of Commerce, he also holds the position of vice-president of the Feafro International Institute, partner of the company Feafro Corporation and Silvana Saraiva Marketing Cultural e Eventos. Currently, he accumulates the position of general coordinator of the international headquarters of FEAFRO CORPORATION in Angola, Togo, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal and Cape Verde, together with the headquarters in Miami and Mexico City.
